12,900 Years Ago: North American Comet Impact Theory Disproved

New data disproves the recent theory that a large comet exploded over North America 12,900 years ago, causing a shock wave that travelled across North America at hundreds of kilometres per hour and triggering continent-wide wildfires.

Despite the headline, the article says very little about how the theory was "disproved," focusing mainly on the causes of modern climate change. The fact is that there is massive evidence of continuous cometary interactions over many thousands of years going back at least to the tree-ring minimum at 4375 BC. I am really getting tired of these supposedly scientific types assuming their own conclusions and then proceding to pretend to "prove" them.
