The “Defensores de Cristo” or “Defenders of Christ” allegedly recruited women to have sex with a Spanish man who claimed he was the reincarnation of Christ, according to an official of a victims’ advocacy group, who spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

Unearthing Athens' Underworld
On an October afternoon in 1997, a TV reporter was interviewing the owner of a streetside kiosk in downtown Athens about traffic snarls caused by excavations for the city’s new subway. As the owner spoke, his kiosk began to sink behind him: like some dry-docked Titanic of cigarettes, newspapers and packaged snacks, the little booth disappeared into the netherworld. The Tunnel Boring Machine—or TBM—had struck again.

The strangely true connection between Scientology, the Jet Propulsion Lab, and Occult Sorcery
One of the weirdest historical confluences you can imagine took place in Pasadena, California, in the 1940s. There, a darkly handsome young man and chemistry autodidact named Jack Parsons had just made a bundle of money by inventing solid rocket fuel and selling it to the military. He was part of a group of explosion-obsessed researchers at CalTech who founded the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where recently the Martian Rovers were made. He was also a goddess-obsessed acolyte and generous financial supporter of the infamous Pagan leader, Aleister Crowley.

The Elusive Tomb of Alexander
By now, Alexander had had at least three tombs in two Egyptian cities. Whenever someone asks where the tomb of Alexander the Great is located, I assume the query refers to the third and last tomb, although admittedly the question might apply equally to his tomb at Memphis or to his first Alexandrian tomb, neither of which has ever been found.

Signed copy of Frankenstein found by chance sells for over 350,000 pounds
Inscribed maybe more accurate, as Mary Shelley wrote "from the author", but it's dedicated to Lord Freaking Byron. So cool.
