400-year-old book on surgery found under floorboards

. . . after lengthy detective work by Lindsay Levy, the faculty's cataloguer of rare books, it was discovered that the mysterious book is in fact the 1634 edition of "The Workes of that famous Chirurgion Ambrose Parey – translated out of Latin and compared with the French". It is one of Parey's 10 books of surgical knowledge and one of only 22 in existence printed in English.
