On its Web site, Life magazine lists 11 possibilities, and Edith Shain has heard from 25 men claiming to be the man she kissed at Broadway and 42nd Street. Ten years ago, she identified a man named Carl Muscarello. The two re-created the famous event on television, but she later changed her mind.
