Commentary: Mystery envelopes the Shroud of Turin

The information booth is busy at Piazza San Giovanni, with half a dozen Winter Olympic visitors asking about city tours, opera tickets and even directions to the nearest McDonald's. Pretty common stuff, particularly when one of mankind's greatest mysteries waits 100 yards directly behind them.

Sacra Sindone is the name given in Italian to a relic from another time, and even from another dimension if tradition trumps science.
