Kansas' home finale against Colorado tonight will mark the final time Falkenstien, 81, broadcasts a game at Allen Fieldhouse. Falkenstien announced last summer that the 2005-06 season would be his last in a 60-year career that culminated with his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Add mine to the chorus of voices begging him to stay. It just won't be the same without him.
Wilt Chamberlain was only 9 when Falkenstien called his first game back in 1946. Roy Williams and Bill Self? Heck, they weren't even born.
