Unwrapping history 
Paper made from mummy wrappings in Maine.

"I've been able to document Maine was a real hotbed," for paper-making with mummy wrappings, said Wolfe, who will be joined by her husband and technical adviser, Worcester Polytechnic Institute Professor David Rawson, in her presentation tonight in Gardiner. "Gardiner had four or five mills that made paper from mummy-wrappings. It's a fascinating bit of real Yankee lore. The big question is what happened to the bodies?"
