Snakes on Plains
Loren Coleman's post about giant snakes over at Cryptomundo got me thinking about giant snakes in my home state of Kansas.

The Luray Snake made quite an impression on the people of Luray - strong enough that the fearsome beast still makes the occassional appearance.

Another giant snake was spotted in Lebo in 1891 and had a length of 25 feet.

Also, a 16 foot bull snake was reportedly killed in Doniphan county about 1861 (scroll down.)
