When a student at St. Cloud State University went missing in the Spring of 2006 and was later found drowned in the Mississippi River, a Minnesota criminology professor decided to investigate.
Lee Gilbertson, assistant professor of criminal justice at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, typed "missing student" and "drowning" into a search engine after the student was found.
He was shocked.
