The Bard, or not the Bard, that is the question. From Twelfth Night to Measure for Measure, mistaken identity is at the heart of many of William Shakespeare's most famous plays.
But a theory that questions whether he really wrote the plays and sonnets with which he is credited is gathering growing support.
Two of Britain's most distinguished Shakespearean actors - Sir Derek Jacobi and Mark Rylance - along with Dr William Leahy, head of English at Brunel University, have reopened the long-running debate.
