Local filmmaker's historic tale of Joaquin Murieta debuts

When El Granada resident Warren Haack set out to make a film about Joaquin Murieta, an infamous bandit he had heard about in his youthful visits to the Sierra, he never suspected that Murieta was known — and revered — as a symbol of resistance by people across Latin America.
