Ellington Stone analysis yields no answers

A team of geologists and archaeologists from the University of Illinois examined the two-inch-thick limestone slab but couldn't determine the age of the carvings on it. This came as a major disappointment to Lee Politsch of Quincy, who spent a big part of his life trying to prove the Ellington Stone was a marker left in 1671 by the famous French explorer, Robert Cavelier de LaSalle.
