Seeking buried treasure of Yucatecan outlaws

When we entered the third room, we immediately heard a strong signal that told us: "Dig!" Only a few inches into the sandy floor, we dug out an eight reale (piece of eight), minted in 1803 when Mexico was still under Spanish domination. Coinage was lettered in Latin, indicating Charles IV was king of Spain and the Indies.
