Visitors don’t exactly need a marketing expert to tell them that the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum in Leavenworth isn’t a run-of-the-mill place.
And the museum expansion unveiled last week with a “mermaid,” “shrunken heads” and other exhibit items dedicated to carnival sideshows — the good, bad and ugly of America’s bizarre attraction to the unfamiliar — only adds to the museum’s appeal.
