A World Frozen in Time

The Mapparium was built after Mary Baker Eddy’s death in 1935. It is 3 stories tall and bisected in the middle by a walkway. The stained glass globe is illuminated from the outside, once by hundreds of lamps, today updated to LEDs. The Mapparium is the only place in the world today in which the earth can be seen without distortion.
