The unfilmable Edgar Allan Poe

Although it’s early for Halloween, the one hundred and sixtieth anniversary of Poe’s death seems a fitting time to take stock of Poe’s literary legacy. And from a cinematic standpoint, a time to note that Poe is damn near unfilmable.
