1700s ledger a window into Eastern Shore's past

The 100 or so yellowed pages between worn sheepskin covers are called "the mystery ledger" by some, detailing everything from births and deaths on the lower Eastern Shore to cargoes of ships plying the Chesapeake from Baltimore to Virginia.
