Mysterious mountains found hidden beneath Antarctic ice

Beneath the ice of Antarctica is a vast mountain range that rivals the Alps in its majesty.

  1. Antarctica is actually made up of two large islands. Charles Hapgood's argument in "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings" was that the Piri Re'is map shows two islands in a position that would tend to indicate that whoever drew the map had seen Antarctica before it was glaciated.
